Master Thesis – photogrammetry as a method for archaeological find documentation

After some back and forth, I have finally managed to finish my Master’s thesis. Actually, this blog was only supposed to serve as a notepad for it.

The focus of the thesis is on the applicability of modern photogrammetry methods for recording archaeological finds. In order to provide a general overview, I have tested objects from the most common material groups as examples. You will therefore find information on metal finds, ceramics, bones and much more.

Nevertheless, I will continue to publish articles that deal with applications of various 3D techniques in archaeology.

As some of the finds made available to me are as yet unpublished, I have made them unrecognizable for the time being. As soon as I receive the necessary approvals, I will remove them and also make the appendix available in full.

The publication is freely available at Researchgate
