These are the results of a short test scan. The object is a lion’s head as a part of a building’s decoration. The head itself is 5 cm in diameter and made from brass.
The basis of this 3D object are 39 pictures taken with an iPhone SE on a cloudy day. The model itself was processed using agisoft photoscan.
This object is not an archaeological object, it is more of a test of how fast it is possible to achieve good 3D models in the “wild”. The photos were taken in 3 minutes and the processing time from start to finish were 40 min.
You can also download the Sketchfab model to see the quality yourself.
